Sitemade is a curated product platform for landscape architects and the manufacturers who supply them. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we need to run the platform, and we never sell your personal information.
1. Who we are
Sitemade (“Sitemade,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at sitemade.co and the related services described there. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, contact us at info@sitemade.co.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you give us. When you create a specifier or manufacturer account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider). Manufacturers also provide a company name and website. If you contact us or request a quote, we collect the contents of your message and any details you choose to include.
- Billing information (manufacturers). Paid manufacturer subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Sitemade does not see or store full card numbers. We retain only the subscription status, plan, and a Stripe customer reference needed to manage your account.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we record basic usage data such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, and device or browser type. We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not use cookies to track you across other websites and does not build advertising profiles.
3. How we use information
- To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
- To operate the catalog, save products to your projects, and deliver the features you request.
- To process manufacturer subscriptions and manage billing through Stripe.
- To respond to inquiries, quote requests, and support messages.
- To understand which products and pages are useful, in aggregate, so we can improve the platform.
- To protect the platform against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and to meet our legal obligations.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember session state. For usage measurement we use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics that do not rely on advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We do not run third-party advertising networks on Sitemade.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform, and only to the extent needed to do so:
- Supabase— database, authentication, and hosting of account data.
- Stripe— payment processing for manufacturer subscriptions.
- Vercel— application hosting and content delivery.
When you contact a manufacturer or request a quote, the details you submit are shared with that manufacturer so they can respond. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Sitemade and its users.
6. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most account details from your settings page, or contact us at info@sitemade.co and we will respond within a reasonable time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and row-level access controls in our database. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it to operate the platform.
9. Children
Sitemade is a professional tool intended for businesses and design professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
